[ He glances out the window -- it's officially getting late. ]

[ He deals ten cards for rummy, sets the deck down. ]

[ He takes a moment to write another bet, then picks up his cards. ]

[She does the same, raising her eyebrows.]

[ The game is pretty quick, and Wash's luck does seem to have improved. He sets a winning hand down and grins, reaching for the betting slips to see what she wrote. ]

Yeah, sure, as long as you don't make me do anything embarrassing.

[ He puts the cards back in the box and gets up from the table. ]

[ Wash takes her hand and tugs her in. It doesn't have to be weird, and they don't have to define anything... right? It'll be less awkward this time. Probably.

His bedroom is spartan and undecorated, not that it should be surprising. There's a sketchbook on the nightstand and his armor on the dresser, and the bed is actually made this time. He reaches up with the hand not holding hers to tilt her chin up for a kiss. ]
