It's all of those things.
But it gets less scary the more you're out there and it can also be really beautiful.
You just definitely need a suit.

No jetpack, sorry. Technically I'm only trained with thrusters anyway, for use in vacuum. Those guys I mentioned who drop from orbit get to use in-atmosphere packs, that's what we'd need to achieve lift in an environment with gravity and they rely on fuel and combustion.
So even a jump pack probably wouldn't work here.
