Ephemera these two have way more in common than they'd like to admit, and in a turn much like wash had himself, ephemera has gone from enemy to possible (tentative) friend. wash feels like he still says the wrong thing more often than not, but they're trying.	Kyna the first person who's ever loved him in this particular way, wash is in far over his head and doesn't fight it anymore. he's finally accepted that for some reason, she has these feelings for him. he may fumble occasionally but they work through things together and he's actually happy. a miracle.	Julie one of the easiest people for wash to get along with in hadriel, julie is fun, kind, low pressure company. they understand each other and so they don't push, just trust. julie is his go-to whenever he does need to talk, but on his terms.
Lance though he's still uncomfortable because of lance's psychologist nature, wash believes that lance has the best intentions. and trusts him just enough to ask for help now and then just as himself -- not as a therapist yet. maybe someday? not.	Lup they've come a long way since their first meeting, where she set him on fire. wash is no longer worried she'll try to kill him but he has a healthy fear/respect for lup's power and actively tries to stay on her good side. lest... he be set on fire.	Margaery a fascinating and clever woman who really should never have given wash the time of day, yet she did. he thinks she can do whatever she puts her mind to, and has been warm and welcome company over the past year.
Nagito maybe someday wash will realize he should be calling nagito "komaeda" ... or figure out he's not just a self-loathing abuse case? as it is he worries about the kid and still feels sort of responsible for his well-being and health after deserted.	Harlan despite awkward beginnings, they've found common ground and get each other a little better now. wash struggles not to say the wrong things but that understanding goes a long way to realizing who the other is and getting along.	Alphys a brilliant, capable scientist, and wash's official go-to for lab related things because she also seems kind and helpful. he worries he frightens her but everything seems to frighten her, but they do get along well. alphys is a good.
Tucker good friend, protege, cockroach in training. wash hopes, anyway. he doesn't want to see tucker turn into him, but knows he can't protect the other man from loss or suffering. also the only one from home who ever led a charge to help him, so tucker has a special place.	Carolina fierce and badass yet loving, wash has watched carolina grow into a beautiful person inside and out. he wishes she had less guilt about what happened with freelancer, but is glad he could help her in any small way become who she is now. he missed her terribly when he was in hadriel alone.	Epsilon what is even happening here? do we get along? do we not get along? do we finally understand each other but are just continuing to give shit for the hell of it? wash can't tell anymore but they're definitely on better terms, most of the taunts and pranks good natured now.
Maine technically, wash's oldest friend. his being in hadriel is a bit of a trip, considering how many others wash has failed to save from death back home. he hopes maine is the one he can save, somehow. 8(	Donut donut how does he even deal with you? wash is grateful the other soldier doesn't hate him for his actions a few years back, but doesn't totally know how to handle the constant entendres and enthusiasm. he's still to be protected.	Scott space soldier buddy! they have a similar background and sense of humor as well, and scott is easy to relate to. he thinks they could become friends, in time.
Poison a sympathetic, traumatized girl that wash wishes he couldn't relate to because she definitely didn't deserve anything that happened to her. maybe someday she'll open up enough for him to actually help.	Delmar sweet old guy with absolutely no self esteem, a problem wash tries to nudge him away from by complimenting his work while not encouraging his tiny crush that wash has no idea how to deal with.
